British Bikes

1917 Triumph

This Triumph was nicknamed "Old Trusty," and these bikes were used as dispatch bikes in World War I.

1939 AJS

A special thanks to Tom Strongman for this beautiful picture of our AJS.

1939 BSA M20

We found this bike in 2008 at the Mid-Ohio Swap Meet. It had been residing in a small motorcycle museum, and we were lucky enough to buy it. It is a great example of the motorcycle workhorse of World War II. This is one of 145,000 made. It came with the very rare air box.

1941 Ariel Red Hunter

Jim has wanted an Ariel Red Hunter like this one forever. We were lucky to find one in a publication and then on a consignment website. This is a mostly-original bike that needs a bit of love. We already have the correct tail light and license plaque and will clean up some of the wiring in the year to come. We are thrilled to look at this bike every day .

1942 3HW Triumph

The Royal Navy used the majority of these 343 cc ohv singles as dispatch bikes. In the summer of 2008, our '42 was finally finished, and we thank Baxter Cycles for a great job. It has been a show winner (and show stopper!) wherever shown, and it is a joy to see as part of our collection.

1955 Triumph Terrier Flat Tracker

Raced by Don Caves and now fully restored as a period short tracker.

1959 Triumph Tiger Cub T20

An all original, unrestored Tiger Cub.

1967 Triumph Tiger Mountain Cub (T20M)

This was the Cub that Joan took apart, but could never get back together. We thank Baxter Cycles for taking all the pieces and putting them back where they belong, mostly!

1969 Triumph Trophy 250

Designed to replace the popular Tiger Cub, this original Trophy is catalogued as a TR25W.

1957 Triumph TR6 "Trophy Bird"

The "Trophy Bird" now sports a new paint job.

1966 Triumph T100SC ("Jack Pine")

1973 Triumph Trophy Trail TR5T

2006 Triumph Tiger

1955 BSA Bantam

1961 BSA Bantam

Our thanks to Bob Peters (or should we be thanking Shelley?) for selling us this nicely restored Bantam. We plan to repaint it black and cream in the future.

1964 BSA B40

Destined to be Jim's daily rider.

1965 BSA A65 Hornet

1967 BSA Spitfire Special

1968 BSA Firebird Scrambler

 1969 BSA Firebird Scrambler

The Ariel will be repainted and "beautified" in the year to come.
